United States Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) is in the running for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination. But she’s polling fourth in a newly released public opinion poll ahead of the New Hampshire primary.
Warren has positioned herself as a progressive candidate in the 2020 field. Her campaign describes itself as “building a grassroots movement to fight corruption head on and put power in the hands of the people.”
However, Sen. Warren has come under fire repeatedly for what her opponents call “lies.”
A 1984 document obtained by The Washington Post revealed Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) identified her race as “American Indian” on her State Bar of Texas registration card. Warren claimed she had ties to the Native Americans on multiple occasions. However, DNA test results showed that she may only be 1/1024 Native American.
Meanwhile, as she touts an agenda to bring the billionaire class down, Warren is quietly planning to take in cash from big-money donors, according to a Politico report.
Sen. Elizabeth Warren, has also released a sweeping immigration plan called “A Fair and Welcoming Immigration System”, that would increase the number of refugee admissions by almost 800 percent from 2018. Warren has also called for an expansion of the program for DREAMers and their families, as well as those with Temporary Protected Status.
One of Warren’s campaign platforms is to get rid of the electoral college. Her website says that “everyone’s vote should count equally — in every election — no matter where they live.”
GREEN NEW DEAL
Sen. Warren says her plan would created 10.6 million green jobs. She’s calling for 100% clean energy for the U.S.
Warren has also made a pledge to protect public land nationwide.
Sen. Warren has spoken at anti-Israel events. Warren notably supported the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or the Iran Nuclear Deal. Moreover, a Warren staffer shared, in tweet that has been deleted, that he “would totally be friends with Hamas.”
The presidential hopeful says she wants to reduce defense spending and limit overseas actions militarily.
Warren’s plan calls for universal child healthcare. She also says that “healthcare is a basic human right” and supports Medicare for All, which would provide all Americans with a public health program.
Warren’s campaign website states that “Extremist Republican lawmakers are trying to turn back the clock and deny women access to reproductive health care.” She is calling on Congress to pass new federal laws that would protect access to reproductive care from “right-wing ideologues in the states.”
“AFFORDABLE EDUCATION FOR ALL”
Warren’s plan, entitled Affordable Education For All, is calling for universal free public college and the cancelling of student loan debt for 42 million Americans.
