Fox News reported Monday that “dozens” of well-known Conservatives signed a letter to censure Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-NY, after he threatened two Supreme Court Justices Brett Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch last week.
Schumer made the threats at a Planned Parenthood rally on Wednesday as the Supreme Court was hearing arguments on a contentious abortion case regarding a Louisiana law requiring abortion doctors admitting privileges to local hospitals.

“I want to tell you Gorsuch, I want to tell you Kavanaugh, you have unleashed a whirlwind, and you will pay the price,” said Schumer. “You don’t know what will hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”
Cryin’ Chuck Schumer said, “You will pay the price for this. You won’t know what HIT YOU.” That is far beyond simple rhetoric. That is a physical threat, or at least a threat that you better vote for us.” Trouble ahead!

Chief Justice John Roberts responded to Schumer’s threats in a written statement. “Justices know that criticism comes with the territory, but threatening statements of this sort from the highest levels of government are not only inappropriate, they are dangerous. All Members of the Court will continue to do their job, without fear or favor, from whatever quarter,” Roberts wrote.
After that, a Spokesperson for Schumer issued the following statement: “Sen. Schumer’s comments were a reference to the political price Senate Republicans will pay for putting these justices on the court, and a warning that the justices will unleash a major grassroots movement on the issue of reproductive rights against the decision.” On the Senate floor, Schumer later added, “I shouldn’t have used the words I did.”

According to the Fox report, former South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, former Ronald Reagan campaign adviser Ed Rollins, Republican Attorney General’s Association Chairman and Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry, and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk are among those who signed the letter, which was organized by The Article III Project, a group that ‘fights to confirm” President Donald Trump’s judicial nominees.
