WH Press Sec.: ‘When Nancy Pelosi Goes Low, Our Poll Numbers Keep Going High’

White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham slammed House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer for holding up an impeachment trial in the Senate, in an interview with Fox News host Tucker Carlson Monday night. She said, however, that ‘when Nancy Pelosi goes low, our poll numbers keep going high.’

“I think that the people that are leading this crazy effort, Nancy Pelosi and Schumer and the likes of them, they’re gonna go down in history as the people who weaponized impeachment and this is gonna go on for years and years to come,” Grisham said.

She continued, “Other presidents can now get impeached over policy disputes. So we’ll see what happens. She’s got to get it over to the Senate because then, obviously, the impeachment isn’t gonna be valid.”

Pelosi wrote on Twitter early Monday that her apprehension comes from not knowing how the Senate will choose to conduct a trial.

“The House cannot choose our impeachment managers until we know what sort of trial the Senate will conduct. President Trump blocked his own witnesses and documents from the House, and from the American people, on phony complaints about the House process. What is the excuse now?,” Pelosi wrote.

Grisham told Carlson Monday night that the trial will only further vindicate President Trump, but, until then, Pelosi is ‘stuck’ and ‘doesn’t know what to do.’
